We are going to hear a lot of rumors today. So we’ll keep this updated as the rumors roll in
UPDATE 9:10 a.m.
According to ProFootballTalk, the Niners are shopping Solomon Thomas. So much for “being in the plans.”
UPDATE 8 a.m.
On the radio this morning, Adam Schefter said the Cardinals do not have a deal in place to trade Josh Rosen and have not spoken to the Patriots this offseason about a potential trade. They have talked to only two teams — Dolphins and Giants.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano has said the Raiders have had discussions about moving up to No. 2 for Nick Bosa. That is what we’ve been saying for a couple weeks now.
Atlanta is also rumored to move up into the top 10.
We’re a little over 12 hours from the NFL draft, and there is going to be a rumor once every half hour today. Later on this morning, we’ll bring you the final mock drafts from some of the most prominent media. We’ll see if anything changes for Arizona at No. 1. Remember last Friday when we said that there was chaos in Cardinal Land? More and more people are starting to say that Kyler Murray isn’t a total lock to be the first pick. We’ll see.
NFL.Com’s Peter Schrager did his annual night before the draft nuggets. Schrager said that three offensive tackles could go top ten. That wasn’t even the boldest part. Schrager also said it’s more likely teams trade up for a tackle than they will a QB. Wow.
Washington is rumored to be smitten with a QB. The smokescreens will tell you it’s Duke QB Daniel Jones. I believe it’s Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins, and so does Vegas. They have him listed as the favorite to be the second QB taken in this draft.
You don’t hear about teams trying to trade out of the top ten often, but the Bills and the Lions are reportedly interested in doing that. The Lions supposedly are in love with the Iowa tight ends, so that makes sense.
Some new and old names, CB JoeJuan Williams, OL Chris Lindstrom, OL Elgton Jenkins, S Taylor Rapp, S Darnell Savage, and DT Jeffrey Simmons (despite torn ACL), could all hear their names called in the first round. Bob McGinn is a plugged in draft writer. In his latest mock draft, he had S Juan Thornhill going in the first round. I wonder if there will be a player that slips and tempts the 49ers to trade back into the first-round. One name that you see slip out of the first 32 picks as of late? D.K. Metcalf.
NFL.com’s Rich Eisen said a well-respected NFL individual told him the top 10 will look like:
Quinnen Williams, AZ
Bosa, SF
Oliver NYJ
Kyler Murray, OAK
Devin White, TB
Haskins, NYG
Hockenson, JAX
Josh Allen, DET
Christian Wilkins, ATL
Devin Bush, DEN
We’ll keep these updated as the day goes along.
