When a star player lands with a new team in a blockbuster trade on deadline day, the natural next question asked is — what number will they wear with their new team.
On Monday, Chase Young, the San Francisco 49ers new pass rusher answered that question. In his first practice, the former No. 2 overall picked donned No. 92 alongside his former college teammate Nick Bosa in Santa Clara.
Young’s previous number, No. 99, is being worn by Javon Kinlaw with the 49ers and his former college number at Ohio State, No. 2, is being worn by Deommodore Lenoir.
No. 92 was recently worn by Kerry Hyder and Charles Omenihu. Former Niners Quinton Dial and Aubrayo Franklin wore No. 92 during their time in San Francisco.
