Jordan Mason sat out due to hip soreness, while Dee Winters bruised his knee.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan met with the media postgame to provide a few injury updates.

Wide receiver Jauan Jennings did not play due to an oblique injury. Shanahan said he didn’t remember the specific injury but that it wouldn’t hinder Jennings from playing next Friday against the Las Vegas Raiders in the preseason finale.

Linebacker Dee Winters suffered a bruised knee, which is why he sat out during tonight’s game.

Running back Jordan Mason had hip soreness, so the team kept him out.

Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall’s shoulder will continue to be monitored. He’s day-to-day.

Running back Isaac Guerendo is expected to return next week after missing most of training camp with a hamstring injury.

Kyle Shanahan explained his decision to play Brock Purdy:

“We just wanted to see him out there and get some reps in. I felt good with the guys who were in there. Felt Brock wanted to do it too.”

When asked if Purdy will play next Friday: “Two frustrating drives. They were three and out. Just not enough plays. There weren’t really any good looks for him, either.”

Shanahan brought up the fact that Purdy didn’t have much of a preseason last year, coming off a UCL injury: “I think it helps Brock to play. I thought it was good for him to get out there.”
