To start their matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football, Christian McCaffrey provided an early spark for the San Francisco 49ers’ offense.
Early in the second quarter, McCaffrey racked up 53 yards on seven carries against the Bills. McCaffrey also caught a pair of passes for 14 yards early in the game. However, after cracking off an 18-yard carry, McCaffrey came off the field on the next play where he pulled up on the field for a five-yard loss. McCaffrey quickly exited the game to the medical tent and then to the locker room.
After halftime, Kyle Shanahan announced McCaffrey would not be returning for the remainder of the game against the Bills.
