The San Francisco 49ers placed wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling on the Injured Reserve. Valdes-Scantling was listed with a calf injury on Thursday’s practice report.

MVS played a quarter of the snaps in Week 3, but was a healthy scratch in Week 4. A Ricky Pearsall injury meant Valdes-Scantling would go from street clothes to playing in 54 percent of the snaps on a short week against the Los Angeles Rams. Valdes-Scantling saw a season high in snap percentage against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6.

Pearsall didn’t practice again on Friday. That’s a sign the Niners will go a third straight game without their WR1. Here are the wide receivers who we can expect on the field this Sunday:

Jauan Jennings
Kendrick Bourne
Demarcus Robinson
Jordan Watkins
Skyy Moore

It’s unlikely Junior Bergen makes his professional debut catching punts on Sunday Night Football. The other options from the practice squad include Malik Turner and Russell Gage. Gage has not played a game since Week 1, while Turner has only been activated when Jauan Jennings couldn’t suit up.
