49ers Garoppolo

We hand out five game balls to the San Francisco 49ers from their third straight win, a 25-23 comeback victory over the Tennessee Titans.

On Monday’s Locked On 49ers Podcast, host Brian Peacock handed out five game balls to the San Francisco 49ers after their comeback victory over the Tennessee Titans:

QB Jimmy Garoppolo

Another start, and another win for “Jimmy Franchise.” His game-winning drive was everything you want from a franchise quarterback. Garoppolo finished the game with a career-high 381 passing yards, and a 106.8 quarterback rating:

K Robbie Gould

Robbie Gould was calm and composed before kicking the 45-yard game winner as time expired. Gould made all six of his field-goal attempts, including a 50-yarder earlier in the fourth quarter. Gould — who has converted 36 of his 38 attempts this year — is having a Pro-Bowl-caliber season:

DT DeForest Buckner

Buckner was disruptive in both the run game and pass game, and led all 49ers with 9 tackles. Another Pro-Bowl candidate, Buckner shed blockers and took on double teams, helping San Francisco to hold the run-heavy Titans to just 3.2 yards-per-carry on the ground:

TE Garrett Celek

It’s Celek Time! While “Celek Time” used to consist of a dropped pass or a missed block, it now denotes a big play by the 49ers’ tight end. Celek scored the lone touchdown of the day for the Niners, and also worked his way behind the Titans’ defense for a 41-yard reception:

WR Marquise Goodwin

Goodwin — San Francisco’s new possession receiver — hauled in a career-high ten receptions for 114 yards. If Goodwin — who has already doubled his career total in reception yardage — continues at this pace, he will become the 49ers’ first 1,000 yard receiver since 2014:
