The 49ers won’t pick until late in the first round of the 2020 draft if this season continues on its current trajectory. San Francisco is 3-0 and putting together a host of strong showings up and down their roster. There’s not a clear weakness yet, which makes early projections for the 2020 draft difficult.

A lack of glaring weaknesses at the top of the 49ers’ depth chart is evident in an early 2020 mock draft from CBS Sports.

Ryan Wilson has San Francisco selecting No. 22 overall and bolstering the middle of their offensive line with Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz.

Biadasz is a redshirt junior listed at 6-3, 320 pounds. He sat out the 2016 season, but stepped in the following year to start all 14 of the Badgers’ games. He’s been the starter and hasn’t missed a game since.

Wilson wrote Biadasz would’ve been a Round 1 prospect had he come out in the 2019 draft:

Biadasz has few flaws and would’ve probably been a first-rounder if he declared for the 2019 draft. And if the plan is to protect Jimmy Garoppolo, who is starting to shine in Kyle Shanahan’s system, the 49ers should upgrade the O-line.

The 49ers have 28-year-old center Weston Richburg under contract through the 2022 season, and cutting him next year is a touch expensive. It’s also important to note Richburg has done a nice job through the first three weeks. The only way they might take a player like Biadasz is if he has the
