Where (and when) can you watch the 49ers make their picks in this year’s NFL Draft?

The NFL Draft is finally here! So, the San Francisco 49ers will finally be infusing their roster with plenty of young talent. For a contender that is trying to remain an elite team despite the league’s hard salary cap, the Niners will need to consistently acquire impact talent via the draft and undrafted free agency to withstand departures as prominent players likely land contracts with other teams in free agency.

Of course, in this year’s draft, which is being held in Detroit, Michigan, the 49ers ongoing contract negotiations with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk remain the biggest storyline surrounding the team. The two sides have yet to agree on a contract extension, which puts the 49ers in a position to listen to trade offers for the young wideout. If a team comes calling on draft day with an impressive enough package, Aiyuk could be on the move.

Otherwise, the Niners head into the draft with the bulk of their picks slated for Day 3. With only one pick in the first, second, and third rounds respectively, it stands to reason that the 49ers could use their bevy of later-round picks to try and move up in the draft. Granted, barring a trade of someone like Aiyuk, they probably won’t have the capital for a significant move up until Day 2.
