OL Corey Luciano was elevated from the practice squad

The San Francisco 49ers announced a few roster moves ahead of their Week 11 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rookie cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. was activated from the PUP list. He’s available and could make his debut on Sunday.

On Friday, head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked what he’s looking to see from the players who could potentially be activated from the PUP:

“It’s more of that. They’re all showing that they’re healthy enough to play and stuff. It’s getting back into it and having to figure out the roster with those guys.”

The 49ers are thin at cornerback, so Luter should provide much-needed depth. The team had been elevating Shemar Jean-Charles weekly. Now, they’ll rely on a player they drafted.

Offensive lineman Corey Luciano was elevated as well. He was an undrafted free agent in 2023 out of Washington. Listed as a center, Luciano should give the Niners versatility along the interior if needed.
