3 starters and some depth. Not a bad haul

We’ve given you plenty of mock drafts. We haven’t gone the full 7-rounds yet, though. NFL Draft writer Dane Brugler of The Athletic has us covered. It’s behind a paywall, but here are the seven selections by Brugler for the San Francisco 49ers.

2. San Francisco 49ers – Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio StateThe 49ers added an impact pass rusher with the trade for Dee Ford, but that won’t stop San Francisco from adding a talent like Bosa. Considered to be the best prospect in this draft by several teams, the former Buckeye is a future Pro Bowler if he stays healthy.

When you look at how things shape up on the field, it’s tough to find a better fit than Bosa.

36. San Francisco 49ers – Marquise Brown, WR, OklahomaDuring the season, Brown was trending toward the top half of Round One. But his Lisfranc surgery (at only 166 pounds) has cooled his draft projection, giving the 49ers a steal in the early second. Brown and Dante Pettis in back-to-back second rounds is a nice haul for Jimmy Garoppolo.

Well, well, well. Would ya look at that. We just talked about how Brown fits in the 49ers offense on Monday. I wouldn’t call it a steal, but it’s far from a reach. This is 2/2 in regards to “good fits.”

67. San Francisco 49ers – Amani Hooker, SS, Iowa

Last week we wrote that Hooker would be a steal if he fell to the fourth. In this mock, Nasir Adderley (28), Johnathan Abram (34), Taylor Rapp (49), Deionte Thompson (53), Juan Thornhill(58) were all selected prior to savvy safety out of Iowa. Nine picks later Maryland’s Darnell Savage is selected. Savage can do more in Robert Saleh’s defense, so I’d go there.

104. San Francisco 49ers – Jordan Brown, CB, South Dakota State

The 6-foot corner played in the Senior Bowl, so the 49ers staff will be very familiar with Brown. He ran a 4.51 40-yard dash, paired with a 39.5 inch vertical. The explosion is there. There’s not much out there, but those that have watched him seem to be fans.

Lance Zierlein—who writes the scouting reports on NFL.com—compared Brown to some guy named Chris Culliver.

176. San Francisco 49ers – Brandon Hitner, OT/G, Villanova

Hitner has been linked to the Niners as well. The team scheduled a workout for the versatile lineman out last week. If anything Brugler has done his homework. Getting depth late in the draft is key.

212. San Francisco 49ers – Dre Greenlaw, LB, Arkansas

Okay, Brugler really did his homework. The 49ers hosted the Senior linebacker last week as well. He would come in and fight to backup Fred Warner while helping out on special teams.

How would you feel about this draft?
