It’s not a guard, so are you okay with the Niners drafting a player in the first round to sit the bench Year 1?
Instead of talking about the same player in each Mock Draft, I’ve been trying to find the ones where the San Francisco 49ers aren’t taking a safety or wide receiver. It seems like it’s safeties Xavier McKinney or Grant Delpit, or it’s a wide receiver like Tee Higgins at pick No. 31. In CBS’s latest Mock Draft, they have the 49ers selecting an offensive lineman:

It shouldn’t be shocking if the 49ers start to sort of rebuild their offensive line in the next few years prepping for the next period of Kyle Shanahan running things.
Jones is PFF’s fourth tackle overall, and they had him as their No. 14 overall player on their big board. Jones’s grade in 2019 was 93.2, which was second among all tackles. Here’s what they have to say about Jones:
