The 49ers on Monday announced their plans to help fundraise for victims of the wildfires raging across Northern California.

The 49ers are taking several measures beginning with the 50/50 raffle they have each game. Proceeds from the raffle will now go to the North Valley Community Foundation according to a team release.

This will be supplemented by an auction taking place after Monday’s game on autographed, game-worn jerseys by a slew of 49ers stars including George Kittle, DeForest Buckner and others. That was announced in a tweet by general manager John Lynch.

This isn’t the first bit of action taken within the 49ers organization. Assistant strength-and-conditioning coach Shane Wallen’s hometown was badly impacted by the fires. He immediately set up a GoFundMe to raise money for victims.

The 49ers said in a statement that these are only initial efforts, and that they’ll take additional steps to help as needed.
