It’s been quite the season for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. Through five games, Warner is third in the NFL in tackles, fourth in stops, and has allowed a 44 percent completion percentage on 18 targets, for a measly 88 yards and a 59.5 passer rating allowed.

Warner is well on his way to being in the top five for the Defensive Player of the Year voting. On Monday night, Warner will have an opportunity to win over national football fans with his personality.

During ESPN’s “Manningcast” broadcast, hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning, Warner will appear at some point during the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars. Warner is a week removed from playing Jacksonville, and obviously has a history of playing the Chiefs.

It’ll be interesting to see if the interview is engaging and the Mannings lean into how well Warner has played this season, or if it’s on the other end of the spectrum where they keep things light, have fun, and it’s a quick cameo for the 49ers’ top defender.
