The latest NFL draft order following Week 7 action has the Niners sitting squarely in the top-five at No. 3 overall.

The Giants and Cardinals are ahead of San Francisco, while the Raiders sit one spot behind them.

There’s going to be a ton of movement in these draft positions over the next three weeks though.

The 49ers’ next three games come against the three other teams in the top four. They’re in Arizona Week 8, then home for the Raiders and Giants in Weeks 9 and 10 before their Week 11 bye.

Oakland and Arizona also see each other in Week 11.

How the 49ers handle the stretch of three games will ultimately define their season. If they hand losses to each of the teams around them, they’ll likely find themselves picking outside the top five in next April’s draft.

If they continue their slide, having lost five in a row, they could establish themselves as the NFL’s worst team.

With the playoffs out of reach, draft position will be worth tracking as the 49ers finish out their schedule, and it’s going to change a lot over the next three games.
