The 49ers on Monday signed recent sixth-round draft pick Marcell Harris to his four-year rookie contract. The team has signed six of its nine draftees to their pro deals.

Harris, 23, is a strong safety from Florida who missed all of 2017 after suffering an Achilles tear in July. He’s expected to be cleared in time for training camp to compete for a roster spot behind starter Jaquiski Tartt.

The other draftees to sign: defensive backs Tarvarius Moore (Round 3) and D.J. Reed (Round 5), receiver Richie James (Round 7), and defensive linemen Kentavius Street (Round 4) and Jullian Taylor (Round 7).

The team’s first three choices in the draft – tackle Mike McGlinchey, receiver Dante Pettis and linebacker Fred Warner – have not yet signed their new contracts. Generally, inking those deals is a formality under the new collective bargaining agreement that slots rookie salaries based on where they are drafted.
