49ers training camp report dates and joint practice dates announced
“San Francisco 49ers will begin preparations for the 2026 season when rookies report on Saturday, July 18.

Veterans will join the newcomers one week later, reporting to training camp on Saturday, July 25.

The first practice will be on Sunday, July 26.

The NFL also confirmed two joint practices for the 49ers during training camp. The first will take place in Santa Clara against the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, August 11, ahead of the teams’ preseason matchup.

The second joint practice will be held on Tuesday, August 18, when the 49ers travel to El Segundo to work against the Los Angeles Chargers before their preseason meeting.”

49ers 90-in-90: What position will Brett Toth play?
“Philly used him as a tackle at first. He also played guard and center. Two of Toth’s starts came at center, while the other two came at left guard.

If you watched Toth last season, it didn’t take long to realize why he didn’t last long on the outside. He entered the NFL sub-300 pounds with a wingspan in the 24th percentile. The Broncos defensive line was able to get into his frame relatively easy.

The good news is Toth’s competitive spirit and strength allow him to either strain long enough for his 1-on-1 to end in a draw or recover and win.

There isn’t a true backup center to Jake Brendel outside of Toth. That could end up being Carver Willis, but you’d think Willis gets a shot at left guard, too. There are so many moving parts along the offensive line that no outcome would be surprising. We know Toth will make the roster. But it’s a guessing game as far as where he ends up on the depth chart.”

49ers QBs Brock Purdy, Mac Jones headline TEU 2026 participation list
“I finally convinced Brock Purdy to show up, and he lives 10 minutes away from me, so that’s a plus,” Kittle said during an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast. “We’ve got Brock Purdy, we’ve got Mac Jones, so he’s going to be a fun time….And then, we’ve got Nick Mullens, C.J. Beathard, and Brandon Allen,” Kittle continued. “So, three of the boys—four of the boys, and Brock Purdy, who’s also a boy. It’ll be a fun time.”

49ers’ George Kittle reaches new milestone in Achilles recovery
“I’m 21 weeks out, and I’m running over 16 miles an hour, so I’m having a great time,” Kittle added. “Single-leg box jumps, we’re cutting again, we’re having some fun”

.…..

“I’m a little bit ahead of schedule, so I’m trying new things,” Kittle said. “My trainers are like, ‘Yeah, just simmer just a little bit.” Basically, what my surgeon told me is don’t be a dumbass, and I’m trying my best to just not be a dumbass….I am on a tight leash, but I’m pulling as hard as I can.”
