“Kamara earned All-America honors in 2023 (James Madison) and 2024 (Indiana) when he combined for 16.5 sacks, 32.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and five forced fumbles.
So why wasn’t Lawrence Taylor Lite drafted? Kamara’s two-sack, 16-game senior season with the national-champion Hoosiers likely raised more questions about his ability to overcome his physical limitations at the NFL level.
Kamara lacks ideal height and arm length (31 3/8 inches) and his poor pre-draft testing numbers included a slow 40-yard dash (4.9 seconds). In addition, he has had at least three shoulder surgeries, although he played in all 29 games over his final two seasons.
