After opening the practice window for players like Christian McCaffrey and Jon Feliciano early in the bye week, more reinforcements could be on the way for the San Francisco 49ers.
On Tuesday, the 49ers released kicker Anders Carlson from their practice squad. Carlson replaced Matthew Wright who replaced injured kicker Jake Moody.

In two games with the 49ers, the second-year kicker formerly of the Green Bay Packers made five field goals on five attempts and three extra points on four attempts. His lone miss with the 49ers came on an extra point.
Carlson’s release could be a positive sign for Moody’s return. On Monday, Moody was spotted back at practice with the 49ers, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.

In Week 5, Moody injured his ankle and missed the remainder of the game after attempting to make a tackle during kickoff coverage. Moody was later labeled with a high ankle sprain.
