Fox Sports released an updated top-100 free agents in the 2026 free agent class that includes recent cap casualties like Tyreek Hill. San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings checked in at No. 18 on the list. They have him re-signing with the Niners.
A year after the 49ers struggled to generate much of a pass rush, Fox Sports had the Niners signing two outside free agents. One is a free agent who would follow Raheem Morris, and one we’ve discussed:
71. Arnold Ebiketie, edge, Falcons
Ebiketie, 27, got pushed aside with Atlanta using two first-round picks on rookie edge rushers in 2025. After 12 sacks in 2023-24, he managed just two, even as the Falcons’ defense leaped from 31 sacks to 57 in 2025. That’s not to say he can’t get back to a solid rotational role in a fresh start — could he follow Raheem Morris to San Francisco, or reunite with Ryan Nielsen in Minnesota? A one-year deal in the $6-8 million range would let him reset himself for 2027.
Prediction: Signs with 49ers
Ebiketie’s 24 pressures would have been something the 49ers could have used last season. Despite his lower usage rate, he still would have been one of the most productive pass rushers on the Niners. Ebiketie finished the season with a 16.4 pressure rate.
The next signing is an obvious one that Nick Bosa probably texts John Lynch about daily:
28. Joey Bosa, edge rusher, Bills
Bosa, 30, had only five sacks in a healthy first season in Buffalo, but he did lead the NFL with five forced fumbles. He should get a deal similar to the $12.6 million he got a year ago. With two playoff wins in 10 years in the league, might he consider taking less to join his brother Nick with the 49ers and try to make a meaningful postseason push? Buffalo is over the cap as it is, so it might look to go younger rather than bringing Bosa back.
Prediction: Signs with 49ers
Bosa may have only had five sacks, but his 52 pressures and 10 tackles for loss stand out. However, his production tailed off toward the end of the season. From Weeks 1-9, Bosa posted a 17.5 percent pressure rate, which was the 8th-highest in the league. During the second half of the season, after playing through injuries and dealing with a hamstring injury in Week 14, Bosa’s pressure rate was 6.3 percent during that stretch, which would have been the lowest of his career.
The 49ers are going to add multiple pass rushers this offseason after finishing the season relying on Clelin Ferrell, Sam O, Yetur Gross-Matos, and Keion White. The players listed may not move the needle, but the priority should be to add as much depth as possible to get back to yesteryear when the pass rush came at teams in waves and was relentless.
It would also buy time for Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams to recover from their season-ending injuries and round back into form. Would you be on board with these two signings?
