The 49ers will return to practice on Thursday afternoon. Head coach Kyle Shanahan provided the pre-practice injury report. Defensive tackles Arik Armstead and Javon Hargrave will not practice today. Here’s the list of players who are out:
DT Arik Armstead (foot/knee)
DT Javon Hargrave (hamstring)
RB Elijah Mitchell (knee)
TE Ross Dwelley (ankle)
LB Oren Burks (knee)
WR Jauan Jennings (concussion protocol)
Defensive end Clelin Ferrell will be limited with an ankle injury.
With Mitchell out, The 49ers promoted running back Jeremy McNichols to the active roster from the practice squad. That’s not a good sign for Mitchell’s availability against the Baltimore Ravens.
The team also officially announced the signing of defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth to the practice squad. He was most recently with the Tennessee Titans in 2023.
An extra day of rest may benefit the 49ers. Having at least one of Armstead or Hargrave on the field will take a lot off the plate of an already thin group at defensive tackle.
