Seattle’s injury report is lengthy
The San Francisco 49ers are getting ready to fly north to Seattle. Before their trip, head coach Kyle Shanahan provided the final injury report ahead of Sunday’s matchup between the team’s divisional rival.
Kwon Alexander (ankle) – Doubtful
Richie James (ankle) – Doubtful
Jaquiski Tartt (groin) – Doubtful
Jimmie Ward (quad)- Questionable
Kentavius Street – Questionable
Deebo Samuel (hamstring)- OUT
Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle)- OUT
Shanahan added that Tevin Coleman and K’Waun Williams have a better chance to play than Jordan Reed this Sunday. With James out, this means there’s a possibility of both Kevin White and Dante Pettis both being active. Shanahan said that during his media availability Friday, White has done a good job, and he’s working hard. It seems that the Niners like his ability and Kyle admitted as much.
Kentavius Street has been under the weather, though it’s not COVID related. The protocol says that Street cannot fly with the team, and he must pass his third COIVD test to play. Shanahan said that if Street is cleared, he’d likely have to fly himself to Seattle.
I’m fascinated to see how the safety rotation works with Ward back. Tarvarius Moore played a great game Sunday against the Patriots. Knowing that you can use Ward all over the field, it feels like Moore is best-suited to be on the field. He brings more to the table than Marcell Harris, and Moore’s speed would be a valuable asset against the Seahawks passing game.
