A year ago, the San Francisco 49ers coaching staff was at the Senior Bowl scouting players and preparing for the NFL Draft. Fast forward a season, and the Niners staff is preparing for a Super Bowl; what a difference health makes. I’m sure on January 22, 2019; you had memorized every mock draft. With the 49ers being as good as they are, this is only the third mock draft of the year for us.

The ranges of outcomes this season for the 49ers will make the draft far more interesting this time around. Many believe the team will trade out of the first round to recoup some of the draft capital they gave up to acquire Dee Ford and Emmanuel Sanders. We’ll go through all those scenarios as we get closer to the draft.

SB Nation releases a weekly mock draft, and this week the 49ers selected Florida’s cornerback C.J. Henderson at No. 32:

32. San Francisco 49ers: CJ Henderson, CB, Florida

A starter for two-and-a-half seasons at Florida, Henderson would give the 49ers a defensive back who can work on the outside or be used in the slot. Don’t forget, Richard Sherman is a free agent after the 2020 season.
