Per the transaction wire, the San Francisco 49ers worked out a handful of offensive linemen:
Le’Raven Clark
Chris Hubbard
Brandon Parker
Zachary Thomas
Matt Waletzko
This comes after backup swing tackle Spencer Burford was listed as day-to-day with a knee injury. Hubbard and Parker will sound familiar, as they’ve spent time on the Niners roster during previous seasons.
Clark last played in the NFL in 2022 with the Tennessee Titans. He has 18 career starts over 1,110 snaps. Clark is also 32.
Hubbard has been in the NFL since 2016, logging over 3,700 career snaps. He started three games for the Giants in 2024. He started nine games with the Titans in 2023.
Parker, 29, last started a game with the Raiders back in 2023. He started 13 games with the Raiders back in 2021 after sitting out the 2022 season.
Thomas started 10 games with the New England Patriots and Houston Texans at tackle in 2024. He started one game with the Los Angeles Rams back in 2023. Last season, Thomas had a rough game against the Houston Texans, but statistically played well in every other game. At 27, Thomas might be the Niners’ target.
Waletzko is 6’8″, 312 pounds. He was a fifth-round pick out of the 2022 NFL Draft. He started four games in the second half last season with the Dallas Cowboys.
The 49ers will likely sign one of these players if Burford is forced to miss time.
