Netflix on Tuesday announced the next edition of its NFL-based documentary series. As a follow up to ‘Quarterback,’ Netflix will next be producing ‘Receiver,’ which will follow a handful of NFL pass catchers throughout the 2023 season.
Two 49ers, wide receiver Deebo Samuel and tight end George Kittle, will be featured alongside Raiders WR Davante Adams, Vikings WR Justin Jefferson and Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. Kittle’s inclusion is a little bit of a head-scratcher since he is a tight end and not a receiver. It appears Netflix won’t be producing a series just about TEs.
With two 49ers players in the mix though it could open the door to some new insight on how the 2023 campaign went for San Francisco and a couple of its stars. Here are a few things we’re hoping to learn during the eight-part series:
