Confidence isn’t an issue among fans
The results are in, and I, for one, am shocked. Eighty-nine percent of 49ers fans believe this season will be a disappointment if the 49ers don’t win the Super Bowl. Considering the 49ers are head and shoulders above the competition.
Brock Purdy is an MVP candidate. Deal with it. The 49ers’ defense has rounded into shape following Chase Young’s acquisition and Steve Wilks’s adjustments following the bye week. The NFC has a hierarchy, but the 49ers have vanquished both top teams.
Normally, some seasons can be fulfilling without a Lombardi trophy. This season isn’t one of them. The 49ers have been close to the top of the mountain, and it’s finally time to finish the job.
The 49ers sit at the top of the NFC, currently. The Dallas Cowboys are on schedule by beating teams they are supposed to. Yes, that includes the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles will be fine making the playoffs, by the way. The Detroit Lions have shown themselves in the past three weeks, losing two out of three.
49ers fans have a right to expect a Lombardi trophy. This team is incredibly stacked and in the prime position to take number six for the franchise.
Eleven percent of fans will be fine with a season without a Lombardi.
In any other season, I would agree. This season, the team is all in, and fans should be all in.
