The San Francisco defender hasn’t had full-time play for his whole two seasons, but PFF data show he could be an elite pass-rusher if given the chance.

  • San Francisco DI Arik Armstead had 21 hurries and 3 sacks in 168 pass-rush snaps for an NFL-best 11.2 pass-rush productivity rating.
  • He also led the league in 2015 with a 12.3 pass-rush productivity rating (38 total pressures in 236 pass rush snaps).
  • Armstead’s 62 total pressures in his first two years would have led the league in 2016, despite playing 77 fewer total pass-rush snaps than Calais Campbell, who had a league-high 56 total pressures last season (Armstead played 24 total games but not as a full-timer).
