An old friend takes over for the Vikings today
The Minnesota Vikings are making a change at quarterback. Josh Dobbs is out, and Nick Mullens is in. The national media flirted with the idea of Dobbs being an MVP candidate for a brief period.
But, in a shocking turn of events, the quarterback who has been on multiple teams for in one calendar year and released after being hand-picked by his former offensive coordinator is no longer a viable option.
Minnesota needs to win to remain in the playoff hunt. But that’s true for the Cincinnati Bengals, who are playing a backup quarterback themselves. Both teams have enough weapons surrounding each quarterback where they won’t have to do much heavy-lifting.
Justin Jefferson will play. Add in T.J. Hockenson, Jordan Addison, and a defense that has been lights out under Brian Flores, and I think the Vikings can give the Bengals a run for the money on the road.
