After a very quiet start, that included stops on fourth down, penalties and a blocked punt, the San Francisco 49ers offense woke up late in the second quarter after a clutch interception from Fred Warner on Sunday in Minnesota
With the Vikings leading 10-0, Brock Purdy helped orchestrate a drive down the field for the 49ers’ first score of the game. Warner’s diving interception set the 49ers up with solid field position to start their drive.
After a long gain from Purdy to Deebo Samuel, Jordan Mason hammered the ball down the field to set up first and goal for the 49ers.
On second and goal, Purdy delivered a short strike to George Kittle for a seven-yard touchdown.
