The student has become the teacher…

The NFL offseason offers time for NFL players to work on their skills and train hard. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is going to train with Tony Gonzalez of all people. And DeForest Buckner is going to train with Cassius Marsh. Except those two aren’t working on the art of the pass rush, instead it’s the art of the kick.

Right, Marsh is training Buckner in the art of the sack celebration.

I’m not sure what was wrong with Buckner’s original sack celebration. I thought the clean sweep was well animated and always had me in a riot. At one point I thought he was curling, but who am I to judge?

So Buckner will go from that to this.

Oh sorry. That wasn’t the video I meant to link. I meant this one.

Dang it, that wasn’t it either. Here’s what I meant to post. It’s that blasted technology. If the two actually do a duo round house it will be something. For one, it will mean Buckner’s training is complete. For another, it will mean Marsh saw the field despite the 49ers having their demon pass rusher on the field. And it will also mean Marsh got a sack. He only got five for all of 2018.

In all seriousness, I also had a vision of this going down similar to how Riggs teaches Murtaugh Kung-Fu in Lethal Weapon 3, meaning it would be one big prank. Here’s a link to the scene if you want to know what the hell I’m talking about.

If that’s how Buckner learns, I want video. That is all.
