Arizona has finally found a trade partner

The Josh Rosen saga is almost over. According to ProFootballTalk, the Miami Dolphins are close to a deal for QB Josh Rosen, and that a deal may actually be tentatively done. The Arizona Cardinals would get pick No. 48 from Miami.

That would be a huge win for Arizona. What took so long, supposedly, to trade Rosen was that general manager Steve Keim wanted to try and make Rosen and Quinnen Williams happen. That didn’t work. Keim couldn’t out-bluff teams to trade back. The Cardinals sided with new head coach Kliff Kingsbury on that one. What a mess. Still, it’s a smart for Arizona and surprising that they are able to field a pick in the top 50.

Rosen gets a fresh start after playing in an offense that was pretty bad. Miami isn’t exactly loaded with weapons, but the offensive coordinator is the former QB coach for the New England Patriots. You’d think he would have picked up something working with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
