Geno Smith is active but isn’t playing

The Seattle Seahawks are in what feels like a must win game for their playoff hopes. They’ll have come away victorious without Geno Smith, as Drew Lock will start for another week.

The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t exactly at full strength, either. Jalen Hurts is playing, but he’s sick. The Eagles are also without starting cornerback Darius Slay. It helps that Philadelphia isn’t facing another high-flying offense.

They’ve played a difficult schedule. The 49ers, Bills, Chiefs, and two games against the Cowboys will make any defense look poor statistically. But Philadelphia has been a bottom-five defense during the past month and a half.

I think DK Metcalf can have a day and I wouldn’t rule out Jaxon Smith-Njigba being a possession type of receiver tonight. Will the Seahawks win? That might be a stretch. But we haven’t seen anything from the Eagles to suggest that they’d win comfortably.

The Seahawks are 5.5-point underdogs with the total on the game set at 46.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook.
