It is that time of year again. The unicorns are out of the stable and elegantly prancing amongst magnificent blooms of wild flowers with the most vibrant rainbow ever arching across the sky above. It is spring and with spring comes hope and a new bright outlook for the future.
I can only hope the 49ers future is relatively injury free and the players on our team can soar to heights we never even thought possible. It is time to let our imaginations run wild. Perhaps a rude reality will once again raise its ugly head like it did last season but, until it does, we can continue to bolster our visions of grandeur.
I personally can’t help but feel that this might be the year things finally come together for us. This will be the year Jimmy Garoppolo takes the big step forward to direct that prolific offense most of us old timers have been so impatiently waiting to return since the good ole days of Joe Montana and Steve Young. I can envision myself spending my Sundays jumping off my chair while simultaneously jabbing my fist in the air and yelling at the television in victorious excitement as Kittle and Pettis continually cross the end zone. This is the year baby! This is the year.
