The 49ers are allowed 30 pre-draft visits with prospects and have scheduled a few visits with some of the top players available. On Tuesday night, the 49ers had a visit with Kentucky’s Josh Allen. He and Nick Bosa are most experts’ top 2 pass rushers in the draft. Josh has been one of the top 3 names that has been mocked as the 49ers’ pick along with Bosa and Quinnen Williams. The 49ers have also scheduled visits with Bosa, Williams, Rashan Gary, Dre Greenlaw, and others.
While the 49ers are doing their due diligence with the visits, Nick Bosa and Quinnen Williams are still the likely 2 frontrunners to be picked at #2. Unless the Arizona Cardinals pass on QB Kyler Murray, the 49ers will likely pick either Bosa or Williams to bolster the defense. If Arizona does pass on Murray, the 49ers could receive some intriguing offers for their pick and that could get them multiple picks. Moving down for multiple picks would help the team fix a lot of their problem areas, but it’s looking unlikely that Arizona passes on Murray.
