MIAMI — Dear Diary,

Finished working around 7:00 p.m. and took a Lyft to South Beach to meet Fernando Kallas, a Brazilian journalist who works in Madrid. He’s a big 49ers fan a friend of the Periscope. Never met him before. He told me to meet him at a taqueria on Collins Ave. called Taquiza.

Kallas was sitting with five or six producers from ESPN Brazil, who all work with this guy:

They all had seen this video clip and knew exactly who I was. Apparently this reporter, Paulo Antunes, is a big deal in Brazil. He also used to be a soap opera actor.

Had I known I was in the presence of such a dual threat, I would have been more respectful during the NBA Finals.

The crew of ESPN Brazil also told me Marshawn Lynch crashed their live set and started shouting, “Bunda!” which means “butt” in Portuguese. Lynch is bilingual, apparently.

Taquiza is an extremely glamorous taqueria — not like the taco trucks in Oakland. Every few minutes, a couple on a date would walk in, and the woman usually was wearing the skimpiest dress imaginable. Women don’t typically dress like that in Oakland. Everyone wears a light jacked after 5:00 p.m. I admired the women of South Beach’s courage. But then, it started pouring at 9:30, and the women outside had
