The 49ers didn’t address a couple needs in this year’s draft, most notably at tight end and on the defensive line. San Francisco has quality starters at both of those spots, but depth is a big enough issue that both positions landed on our list of the team’s priorities for the 2024 draft.
While it may have behooved the 49ers to address some other positions this year, it’s also worth noting the 2023 class contains a slew of players who didn’t contribute much last year and could conceivably make up for the positional shortcomings in the 2024 class.
