San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said the team expects to have 10 picks in the 2025 NFL draft.

The 49ers (kind of) have all of their own selections, save for a fifth-round pick they lost as punishment for an accounting error they made. They swapped conditional seventh-round picks with the Carolina Panthers in an offseason deal for kicker Zane Gonzalez.

Over the Cap projects four additional compensatory picks for the 49ers, which is one more than NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein projected in May.

Here’s how OTC breaks down the picks the 49ers would get:

Round 3

The 49ers snagged a third-round comp pick in the 2025 draft when DeMeco Ryans and Ran Carthon were both hired in the same offseason. Ryans went to the Houston Texans as their head coach. Carthon went to the Tennessee Titans as their general manager.

Round 4

Defensive end Chase Young signed in the offseason with the New Orleans Saints and the 49ers didn’t acquire a qualifying free agent to cancel him out.

Round 4

Quarterback Sam Darnold’s huge year with the Minnesota Vikings nets the 49ers an extra fourth-round choice.

Round 7

The 49ers will get an extra pick late in the last round thanks to Ray-Ray McCloud’s free agent exit to the Atlanta Falcons.

Cancelled out

The 49ers lost defensive linemen Javon Kinlaw, Sebastian Joseph-Day and Clelin Ferrell this offseason, along with tight end Charlie Woerner. Their exits were cancelled out by the acquisitions of defensive linemen Leonard Floyd, Yetur Gross-Matos and Jordan Elliott, and cornerback Isaac Yiadom.

An exact draft order won’t be out until the season ends, but this is what the 49ers’ projected picks will look like:

Round 1
Round 2
Round 3
Round 3 (compensatory)
Round 4
Round 4 (compensatory)
Round 4 (compensatory)
Round 6
Round 7 (via Carolina)
Round 7 (compensatory)

The first round of the NFL draft is set to begin Thursday, April 24 in Green Bay.
