The speedy WR wants to win the long jump

If you’re not familiar with Marquise Goodwin’s background, him saying he wants to win a gold medal in the Olympics sounds ludicrous. It’s not. Like, at all. Goodwin finished seventh in the long jump during the Olympic Trials back in 2016. Goodwin actually won the trials back in 2012, where he finished 10th in the long jump during the London Olympics.

Monday morning Goodwin tweeted that he wants another shot in 2020. “I’m going to win the 2020 Olympics in Long jump!” Goodwin wrote. “idk how, but I am.” Back in May 2017, Goodwin told NBC Sports Bay Area that he would be in the prime of his jumping if he were to compete in the 2020 Olympics. “I still have a lot left in the tank,” he said. “I always wonder what I could do if I put some more time into it, but football is my priority.”

Goodwin’s wife, Morgan, is also attempted to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in the 100 meter hurdles. Talk about an athletic family.
