But the 49ers still take Bosa.

I got some news for all of you, the NFL draft is less than two weeks away. That means all this speculation, redundancy, whatever you want, is almost over.

So guess what? Today, we have another mock draft. Happy Saturday. This one is a bit different in the vein that Adam Rank, the writer who put it together, gives a consultation of sorts. He doesn’t go with what he thinks the teams will do, but what they should do.

One difference: this draft has no trades. He does have the San Francisco 49ers taking Nick Bosa, but his snippet on the pick is urging for a different action:

Hey, Niners: You should trade this pick. Remember how you made the Bears bid against themselves to move up one spot for Mitch Trubisky in 2017? That was pretty good. John Lynch is good at that. If you can talk one of the quarterback-needy teams into making a similar type of move, you need to do it. And if you can’t? No worries. You end up with Joey Bosa’s brother, which is going to be pretty sweet — although you might need to work on his taste in movies.

We all know I’ve been the one to think the 49ers should get Bosa at all costs, long before the season ended. I also thought the 49ers had a legit shot at him back in December. All things said, the haul the 49ers could get in a trade is mighty tempting as of late. If they could fleece a team, they could fill their remaining holes with premium talent and then have one of the best teams in the league in a year or two. Part of me doesn’t want to miss out on Nick Bosa, but the other part feels that buyers remorse when getting something where you look for everything wrong with a premium buy. I think Bosa makes the 49ers defensive line an absolute beast but at the cost of some other great talent to fill out the defense.

I have a different poll here today rather than a draft grade:
