CBS and Bleacher Report released their latest mocks and both had the 49ers take a pass catcher

With NFL free agency in full swing, teams around the league are rounding out their rosters and rounding out their boards for the upcoming NFL Draft.

You know what that means, mock drafts will be a dime-a-dozen over the month. The 49ers have two first-round picks after trading DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts for the No. 13 pick.

In his latest for CBS Sports, Chris Trapasso has the Niners taking a pass catcher with their first pick of the draft, Oklahoma receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Here is what Trapasso says about the selection:

“Kyle Shanahan probably loves YAC ability more than any other coach in the league, and Lamb is the best YAC wideout in this class by a wide margin.”

Trapasso has the 49ers trading the No. 31 pick, interestingly enough to the Colts to acquire some Day 2 picks.

Meanwhile, B/R’s Zach Buckley’s latest mock also has the 49ers taking a pass catcher at No. 13, with San Francisco selecting Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy.

Buckley has the Niners keeping the No. 31 pick and selecting Iowa EDGE rusher A.J. Epenesa.

I agree with Trapasso’s prediction that John Lynch will look to deal the team’s second first-round pick to recoup some draft capital in the early to middle rounds.
