Caroll could remain with Seattle in the front office
Black Monday had a couple of surprises. The Tennessee Titans letting go of Mike Vrabel is at the top of the list. But there was just a shake-up in the NFC West, as Pete Carroll will no longer be the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that Carroll could remain with the organization, likely in a front-office role. At 72, energy and enthusiasm weren’t an issue for Carroll. It’ll be interesting to see what his next title is.
This marks the changing of the guard and a new era for the Seahawks. Carroll has been the head coach since 2010, where he also had the title of Vice President of Football Operations.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport believes Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn could be a strong candidate to replace Carroll.
Quinn was the defensive coordinator in Seattle from 2013 to 2014 but was with the Seahawks as an assistant head coach in 2009. Quinn popularized the Legion of Boom years.
Who do you think will replace Carroll?
