Cassius Marsh found a new home in a familiar place after being cut by the 49ers in March. The eccentric defensive end inked a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson.

Marsh spent his first three NFL seasons in Seattle after they made him a fourth-round pick out of UCLA in 2014. He was traded to the Patriots at the start of the 2017 season, but New England placed him on waivers in late November. That’s where the 49ers scooped him up.

San Francisco’s need for Marsh dissipated after they acquired pass rusher Dee Ford in a trade with the Chiefs. Marsh posted 7.5 sacks in 22 games with the 49ers. His 5.5 last season were a career high and tied for the second-most on the club.
