San Francisco 49ers Draft Utah DL Pita Taumoepenu

With the 202nd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers have selected Utah defensive lineman Pita Taumoepenu.

Taumoepenu posted 45 tackles and 13 sacks in two seasons for the Utes. Nine of those sacks came last season. Taumoepenu was a part of Utah’s squad that won the Foster Farms Bowl at Levi’s® Stadium against Indiana.
