The saga about whether the San Francisco 49ers will have Fred Warner has driven the conversation all week. Kyle Shanahan’s gamesmanship, paired with videos of Warner, has led many to speculate that he’ll play this Saturday.

On Thursday, Warner was seen at practice. The difference between him and his teammates was that Warner didn’t have his helmet, an indication he wasn’t practicing:

As you can see, linebackers Luke Gifford and Dee Winters returned to practice.

Here’s the final injury report:

Out:
LB Fred Warner (ankle)
S Ji’Ayir Brown (hamstring)
Questionable:
WR Ricky Pearsall (knee)
LB Dee Winters (ankle)
LB Luke Gifford (quadriceps)
WR Jacob Cowing (hamstring)

Shanahan said he feels confident that Warner put himself in a position to play a week from now if the 49ers advance. Warner will make the trip to Seattle with the team.

Here’s Shanahan on what he saw from Pearsall this week: “We wouldn’t put him on a snap count. I saw improvement. He’s still battling it. That’s why he’s still questionable. We would never put a guy on an exact snap count, especially in a playoff game. But we also understand where he’s at.”

Shanahan added, “Hopefully, we get Ricky.”

The Seattle Seahawks added quarterback Sam Darnold to the injury report. He’s listed as questionable with a new oblique injury. According to a Seahawks reporter, Darnold said, “Nothing to see here.”

There is no game designation for left tackle Charles Cross, who last played in Week 15.
