PRIMETIME BABY!!!!

The 2019 NFL schedule has officially been released, and we’ve got a full rundown of when the San Francisco 49ers are playing their 16 games. Hopefully this year we can see Jimmy Garoppolo for the full season and not get flexed out of anything if things go bad.

The 49ers open the 2019 season with a road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It looks like the NFL is wasting no time on getting the 49ers to go across the country with a 1:25 p.m. PT start.

The 49ers will go on the road again for Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and don’t have their home opener until Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Depending on how the 2019 team looks, this could be a fun game to watch.

The 49ers have three prime time games so far. A far cry from their five primetime games last year, but prime time football is prime time football. The 49ers will face the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football in Week 4, the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football in Week 9, and the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football in Week 10.

The only question mark at this point is Week 16 vs. the Los Angeles Rams. According to our source, the game is scheduled for EITHER Saturday, December 21st or Sunday, December 22nd. If it ends up on Saturday, that could end up another nationally televised game.

Here’s the full schedule with times, dates, and TV channels. All times listed are Pacific.

Strength of schedule: .510 (Link)

Flexible scheduling: NFL flex scheduling can occur as soon as Week 5. The most notable games are those moved into and out of Sunday Night Football, but we also see games rotated between early and late on the regular 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. time slots. It’s worth noting that the NFL is only allowed to flex no more than two games between Week 5 and Week 10.
