49ers fans and haters had a lot to say.
No one was surprised that the 49ers took Nick Bosa when he was available. But draft twitter still had a lot of opinions. Mostly good.
49ers went from having one of the worst edge groups to having one of the stronger ones with Dee Ford and Nick Bosa.

Hall of Fame personnel man Gil Brandt approves, with an interesting note about the domino effect that Bosa will have for this defense.
The 49ers had only two INTs last year, the lowest NFL team total in more than 40 years. Nick Bosa’s pass rush should help raise those totals considerably. #nfldraft

If fans were somewhat quiet about the expected pick, Bosa’s new teammates were all over it.
Added another dawg to the DLine! @nbsmallerbear let’s gooooooo! #GoNiners

The only controversy was reaction to Bosa’s controversial right-wing (and arguably racist) tweets.
Also his racism and homophobia are pretty big downers

Lynch seemed to hem and haw a bit in his response:
Lynch: Weren’t initially aware of news this week Bosa had liked a post with racist & homophobic slurs. Learned about it, “not something we like,” long time ago, choose to think about what people say he really he is. “We’re gonna give him a fresh start and we hope everyone will.”

SoCaliSteph had a more optimistic take.
Don’t WORRY Nick Bosa, we WILL LIBERAL you up, because we’re good people.
— Stephanie McCarroll (@SoCaliSteph) April 26, 2019
Frankly, the Bosa pick was so expected that the Twitter takes were a bit underwhelming. On the other hand, everybody had a lot of fun roasting the Giants for the Daniel Jones pick. Enjoy!
First, an Eagles writer who’s really enjoying that choice.
I watched almost every game Daniel Jones started. He has serious issues. No way is he worth this pick. But he does seem like a nice guy. I hope Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox get to spend some time with him.

And another!
These Daniel Jones highlights are pretty impressive against Quinnipiac.

Speaking of faint praise, I don’t think this isn’t a positive, either.
He even looks like Eli.
— Gil Brandt (@Gil_Brandt) April 26, 2019
To be more specific….
Daniel Jones looks like the actor they’d cast to play Eli Manning in a movie about Peyton Manning’s life. @Giants #NFLDraft pic.twitter.com/D81VLvc7mE

Before the draft, they had a bizarre promotion where some fan won Super Bowl tickets for 100 years. And a Giants fan won.
That poor guy won season tickets for 100 years then had to watch his team draft Daniel Jones
