$22,000. Time to call some favors in.

Contrary to popular belief, the San Francisco 49ers draft room can be open to the everyday football fan. That is, if you can write a check for $22,000.

We already went over the golf tournament portion of the 49ers golden getaway, and there’s still the auction. Up for bidding this year was a training session with 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (which sold for $29,000) and the chance to sit in with the 49ers in the war room during the draft which sold for the pretty penny mentioned above.

This isn’t the first time they did it as they have offered seats in the draft room before. Don’t go thinking you’re allowed to give advice either. The spots are those where you sit, don’t speak unless spoken to and observe. I’d assume that texting/photography during your time in the draft room would be prohibited as well as not to get a security breach.

The 49ers foundation raised over $1 million this weekend at the Golden Getaway event. You can read more about the event here.

Those of you who have figured out that some spots in the war room may open up with another auction in 2020, you now have been informed: you have one year to save your money.
