There’s quite a list of people that we can consider.

“If only the 49ers had Jimmy G” is something I’d mutter several times during the San Francisco 49ers 2018 season. Going down in Week 3 was not inspiring in the slightest. When he returns the offense will improve quite a bit.

But Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t the only player returning. The San Francisco 49ers had a laundry list of injured players, all coming back healthy. Garoppolo is the obvious choice for the most help to the team, but who else is there that can really help?

Beyond Garoppolo, the one player that I think can help is Jerick McKinnon. It’s definitely make-or-break with him since he went down with an ACL tear and you never know what the future holds after those. Kyle Shanahan stated he had to change the game plan quite a bit when McKinnon went down so having him back and ready to go helps the 49ers offense become more dynamic and have the full playbook at their disposal. The help is infinite.

It’s not just McKinnon. On the defensive side of the ball, Jaquiski Tartt, Adrian Colbert, Ahkello Witherspoon, the list goes on on players that could help. And that secondary needed help towards the end of the year.

So Garoppolo is the obvious first choice, maybe McKinnon is obvious as well, but besides Jimmy Garoppolo what’s the one player returning from injury that you think can help this team?
