Anyone watching the Super Bowl of wrestling?
Wrestlemania is going to get underway in a bit and since we have some wrestling fans here at NN, I figured I’d get an open thread for this afternoon.
As you know, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is attending the event and is a huge wrestling fan. Given that he has graduated from Seth Rollins’ wrestling school, he might have a career in pro wrestling after he’s done with his football career.
So is anyone else getting the show? I just kicked off my trial on WWE Network to watch the show tonight. I’m mostly looking for the main event. A woman’s championship which is the first time the women’s championship has been the main event of a Wrestlemania. I remember when C.M. Punk was talking about WWE’s hesitancy to do this in light of the UFC having women begin to main event as well, telling Vince McMahon, “It’s going to be [site decorum] awesome.”
Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar could be fun too, but only because I’m tired of Lesnar being super-dominant with the championship. Maybe WWE doesn’t have anyone else to carry the strap, but I’m ready to see Lesnar lose.
