Nothing spells draft season better than a new mock draft from legendary draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. With a little over two weeks to go until the Chicago Bears open the draft with the No. 1 overall pick, Kiper dropped his latest two-round mock draft.

With a team littered with proven veteran stars paired with an arsneal of picks, the 49ers have the luxury of being flexible when it comes to draft night. The 49ers could go in a bevy of different ways, including defensive back, wide receiver and offensive line. At the end of the first round, Kiper Jr. has the 49ers addressing their offensive line at pick No. 31.

Kiper Jr. inks Washington offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten to the 49ers in the first round. The 6-foot-6, 285 lb offensive tackle played four seasons at Washington with 28 starts coming in his last two seasons in Seattle. Kiper Jr. mentions Rosengarten has a connection with a current member of the 49ers. During his time in high school in Colorado, Rosengarten played for Christian McCaffrey’s father, Ed.

Via Kiper Jr. ESPN:

I’m going to stick with my projection from Mock Draft 3.0, as Rosengarten could challenge Colton McKivitz for snaps at right tackle. Rosengarten didn’t allow any sacks in his 1,158 pass-blocking snaps for the Huskies. He also has some familiarity with one of San Francisco’s stars, as Christian McCaffrey‘s dad, Ed, was his high school coach for two seasons at Valor Christian in Colorado.
