The San Francisco 49ers are expected to fill their vacant defensive coordinator position with an in-house candidate, as the team plans to promote Nick Sorensen to the position, league sources confirmed Saturday. The Niners are also planning to hire former Los Angeles Chargers coach Brandon Staley as assistant head coach, league sources confirmed.
